NCCCO preparation classes are held once a month at our Bakersfield, CA crane training facility located at 3110 Gibson Ave. Classes are Monday–Friday from 5PM–9PM, This allows the candidates to work their normal dayshifts while attending class after work.

Some of the topics we cover in class include: OSHA 29CFR 1926.1400 ANSI B30.5 / ASME regulations pertaining to proper crane setup, rigging, crane inspections, safety devices, maintenance and interpretation of load charts.

83% of all crane accidents are caused by operator errors. By understanding crane fundamentals of stabilities, leverage, structural limitation and ground compaction issues, as well as underground and overhead hazards and rigging, you will become a safer more productive operator.

During the practical practice sessions (hands on training) You will learn the basics of load control and proper crane setup on the actual test course and crane. Once you demonstrate consistent competence in operation, its test time. Your instructor, who is also a NCCCO Practical Examiner, will administer your tests.

Once you have passed the Written Core, Specialty, and Practical Exams, NCCCO will then issue you the Appropriate Certification Card. Which is valid for 5 years.
